"Good deal for a weekend trip"
Stayed here for a quick weekend trip and it was a solid choice. The price was cheap, and for what I paid, it was definitely worth it...

"Pretty views, but a ROUGH trip overall"
The views were really pretty, but the trip itself was kind of frustrating. The trails were super muddy, and the signs were BAD, so we ended up confused more than once

"Booking was way more annoying than it needed to be"
I tried booking a cabin on wvstateparks.com, it ended up being a lot more frustrating than I expected. The pages were loading slowly, the dates kept flipping back after I selected them, and I had to type in my information more than once, which got old really fast.
I did finally get the reservation finished, but I wasn’t even sure it actually went through until the confirmation email showed up later. The park itself might be great, but if the booking process stays this clunky, I’d seriously think about reserving somewhere else next time

"Really friendly staff made things easier"
I’m usually good at figuring places out on my own, but we were a little turned around when we got there, so I asked the park staff for help. They were super nice about it and didn’t make us feel silly for not knowing where to go. Everyone we spoke with was friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful. it made the whole visit a lot less stressful

"Cabin was really clean and comfortable"
We stayed in one of the WV state park cabins and, i was really happy with it. I kept thinking maybe I was just relieved it wasn’t worse than expected, but no, everything really did feel clean and well taken care of. The bathroom, kitchen, beds, and even the porch area were all neat and comfortable. The lodge and the public restrooms we used were clean too, which is something I always notice, maybe too much. It’s not fancy or anything, but it was cozy, tidy, and easy to settle into. I’d definitely stay again.

"Hit the spot after our hike"
We stopped at the lodge restaurant after a long hike, it was exactly what we needed. I wasn’t sure at first if it would be anything special, but the portions were decent, the food came out hot, and the pie was really good. Maybe I was just extra hungry, but it all tasted like solid comfort food. Nothing fancy, just a good, satisfying meal.

"Really nice cabins and campsites"
We booked through wvstateparks.com and had such a good trip, the cabin was clean and warm and had everything we actually needed, the campsites nearby looked really well taken care of, the bathrooms were nicer than I expected, and all the little extras made the whole stay feel easy and comfortable without being fancy or overdone. I’d definitely stay there again.
